Tinder Shadowban 2024: The easiest way to reset your account and fix it

A shadowban is when your actions are restricted by Tinder without you being warned. For example, you could still be able to use the app, to swipe left and right. But your profile would not be shown to other users. Shadowban is a light sanction, used by MANY services: Bumble, Hinge but also social networks, Reddit, and many more!

There are various reasons for ending shadowbanned but they are always linked to an infringement of Tinder terms of service and guidelines. In fact, Match Group shadowbanned you only to "protect" its community.

The main ones are:

1. sending ‘inappropriate texts’.
   Inappropriate texts are not necessarily what you think, most of the time users will report you for this by laziness just because they don’t like your pictures or bio. Prerequisite

Here is what you'll need to follow our tutorial and finally get your matches back:

• New phone number (2 min)
• Fresh email address (1 min)
• New Apple account (iOS) or Google account (Android)
• New IP address (Don't worry you don't need a VPN for this)
• New smartphone device (optional)
• New pictures (optional)

Reset your tinder account in 10 min now

Step 1: Delete your previous account

1. Go to settings
2. Scroll down till you reach the "Delete Account" button
3. Select the "Delete my account" option
4. Tap on "I want a fresh start"

Step 2: Uninstall Tinder from your device

You need to remove the Tinder app from your phone because you will need a new Apple / Google Account before installing the app.

Step 3: Clean your Phone data

If you can use another device, it's even better.

But sometimes, you just have one phone and you don't want to buy a brand new device just for Tinder. In that case, we recommend you to do a factory reset of your phone to clean the device id and use a new Google Play Store or Apple App Store account.

iOs:

1. Open your phone settings
2. Go to "General"
3. Scroll down till "Reset"
4. Select "Erase All Content and Settings"

‌‌Android:

1. Open your phone settings
2. Go to "About Phone"
3. Select "Factory reset"

Step 4: Get a new SIM card

You will need it to receive the token sent by Tinder to verify your account.

You will have to buy a new SIM card.

Step 5: Restart your WiFi router

Tinder tracks your IP address, hence you should not spoil all your efforts to reset your Tinder account by neglecting this.

To get a fresh IP, the simplest way is to restart your WiFi router. Once that's done, you can check your IP by googling "What's my IP" or using this website.

Using the mobile network of your new SIM card could be a backup solution.

Step 6: Create a new Apple / Google account

Before installing Tinder you need to create a new Apple / Google account to connect to the store.

Do NOT link your previous email, or your previous credit card.

Step 7: Reinstall Tinder

Go to your Appstore and reinstall the app.

Step 8: Create a new account

This step is crucial. Create a new account using a new phone number and a new email address (this is super important, otherwise Tinder will restore your previous parameters and you will be still shadowbanned... game over).

Don't link your social accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Spotify)if you previously used them with Tinder.

Then it's time to upload your new pics and write your bio. But do not upload the same! Tinder will spot it. If you want to use your old pictures on Tinder, follow those steps:

1. Rename the picture.
2. Clean the EXIF data. You can google "remove EXIF data online" and you'll find plenty of tools.
3. Slightly resize the picture or add a black pixel.
